A dispensation was granted by The Most Worshipful Grand Master Stanley M. Thompson, Grand Lodge of Missouri, for St. Joseph Lodge No.78 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons at 605 Robidoux Street in St. Joseph, Missouri to host a Chance To Advance Class [ C2A ] on Saturday March 27th 2004.
The Masonic Temple opened at 7:00AM with Registration for Candidates beginning at 8:00AM. Coffee and Hot Rolls were provided by The Scottish Rite Temple Valley of St. Joseph, Dale Brian, Secretary. Dale Brian is a Past Master of Zaredetha Lodge No.189.
Right Worshipful Brother Dave Ramsey, District Deputy Grand Master in the 7th District served as the Director for the class. Right Worshipful Brother Wayne Dugan, Regional Grand Lecturer in Region B where the Lodge is located served as Moderator. At 9:00AM all Freemasons were invited into the Lodge and R.W.B. Dave Ramsey made announcements and introductions. He recognized all those who had served on a Grand Lodge level under the title Right Worshipful. 11 Brothers were present who had served on a Grand Lodge level. Before opening the Lodge, R.W.B. Wesley Revels, Worshipful Master of St. Joseph Lodge No.78, thanked all the Brethren for participating, welcomed the candidates in the class and delivered a poem "I Sat In Lodge With You".

St. Joseph Lodge No.78 Opened on the First Degree of Freemasonry, and all who were not Fellowcrafts were retired from the Lodge. The Lodge was Opened on the Second Degree, the Craft was called to confer the Second Degree and the Degree was conferred.

The Lodge was called from labor at 11:30AM and Lunch was served at The Scottish Rite Valley of St. Joseph, Dale Brian Secretary. Menu: Fried Chicken, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans, Cake, Tea & Coffee. Presentations were given by the York Rite, Scottish Rite and Moila Shrine of St. Joseph.
The Lodge was Called To Labor at 1:30PM and the Craft was called for the 1st
Section of the Third Degree and conferred. Those putting on the 1st Section

The Most Worshipful Gordon E. Hopkins, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Missouri 1995 was received in proper form with the Grand Honors. M.W. Gordon Hopkins thanked St. Joseph Lodge No.78 for Hosting the C2A class and praised all those who had performed the Ritual for the high quality of their work. He commented that Ritual work of the high quality he had seen during the class could not otherwise be seen at a usual Lodge session.
Peace and Harmony Prevailing, the Lodge was closed at 3:30PM.
