Freemasonry, the oldest,
largest and most widely known
fraternity in the world

Most everyone everywhere in all of free society has a family member who is a Freemason.  Freemasonry is a universal society of friends and brothers who seek to become better men through association with one another and their families.  Based on the father-hood of God and brotherhood of man, it uses builder's tools as symbols to teach basic moral truths that impress upon its members its unique process of building better men to live on this planet, and by urging the practice of charitable relief for those who may be in need, and morality and good citizenship in every community.

Why Do We Practice Our Ritual

At the opening of a lodge, the Master uses the following words from Psalm 133 verses 1 through 3, “Behold, How good and how pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in unity.  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, which ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard that went down to the skirts of his garments.  As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains Zion, for there the Lord commanded the blessing even life for evermore.”  This is an anointing and blessing.  It is an expression of the priesthood of all believers in harmonious unity.  If we apply that anointing to our Fraternity we have a duty, not only to our candidates and ourselves but to our Deity to impart on the minds of all Freemasons the great moral lessons contained within our ritual.  We learn those lessons and imbed them deep within ourselves by learning our ritual as close to perfect as possible...
