for the newly initiated Mofreemason Webmaster

Creating Filling Your Folder Html Basics Editing Your Page Using FTP

Step #1. Creating a New File Folder

Before learning about Ftp, a new file folder must be created on your computer in order to edit your web pages off line. I will call it "bethany97" but you webmasters should use your own Lodge name. (example: summit263, mineral471, etc)

One way to create this folder is thru your internet web browser. Off-line, open up your Internet web browser (example Internet Explorer).

Click on file, then click open.

When the menu comes up click on browse.

When the next menu comes up, click the down arrow on the right side of the "Look in" field.
Scroll down to the C drive listing or in this case Disk 2_ VOL1(C).

Click on the C drive listing. It will be placed in the "Look in" Field

To the right of the "Look In" field are 4 icons. Click on the create new folder icon (#3).
The new folder box will appear. Name it by typing in your lodge name in the blue field.
Press the enter key after typing in your lodge name and your folder will be saved as
C:\yourlodgename (C:\bethany97)
At the bottom Cancel the menu box, then Cancel again when the next menu box appears.

Yourlodge (or bethany97) is now listed as a folder on the C Drive.
