As Master of the lodge this year I have many things in store for the lodge. My first goal is to continue both the Halloween treats for kids and the Masonic Family Fair. These were both new concepts last year and were well received by the community. I would like however, to see more brethern of the lodge and members of the Eastern Star come to enjoy these events as well as help with them.

The new goals I have are building and Lodge related. They include replacing the signs on the corner of the building to let the community and brethren know when we are having meeting nights. Another is to benifit our brothers and sisters unable to comfortably ambulate the stairs and who don't like to use the lift chair. We have talked about installing an elevator last year but that was as far as it got. This year I hope to get the ball rolling to get it done. The third goal I have, since the present by-laws of our lodge are out dated, is to revise our by-laws and get the amended sections approved and in print for the lodge, so all of us as members can be sure we are compliance.

All of the goals will take a great deal of help from the brethren of the lodge as well as the Sisters of the Eastern Star.

I challenge all members of Mineral lodge, as well as members of neighboring lodges in the district to attend the regular meetings. Show support to your home lodge as well as neighboring lodges in the district. Be an active member in the lodge's community events. We have to be active in our communities, lodges, and districts. The only way Masonry will die is to keep it in the lodge room.

I hope my goals are compatable with the thinking of all concerned.
